A lot of people (and Mac commercials) are complaining and making fun of the new Windows Vista "Confirm" dialog box for all of the administrative-level actions that people do in a Windows environment. The funny part is - or should I say the hypocritical part - that Mac and Linux are just as bad. But who is complaining about Mac and Linux? No one - every Mac and Linux user out there claims that their operating systme is more user friendly because Windows finally has the same feature that Mac and Linux have had for years.
I'm not a huge fan of Vista, by the way. I've been running it at home since it went gold, and I have been less than impressed so far, mostly because of the lack of support from hardware and software manufacturers. Give it another 6 months to 1 year and the support will improve, though. I think Microsoft deserves a little more credit than they are given, in the "Confirm" dialog box that everyone is complaining about.
