It was via the comments on that post, that I found This Page over at MVPS.org on the horrendous nature of the F-Lock key on these keyboards, and how to permanently disable the F-Lock functionality on Microsoft Keybaords.
FYI, the link to completely disable the f-lock key's built in use Is HERE.
